Sleep Facing Southward is our first studio recording, an EP that was put together in the summer of 2006. It was recorded by Dan Franko at his studio in Shelton, CT.

We were very happy to have Mike Grillo add his trumpet and flugelhorn, Yukio McDonough-Sieben his violin, and Nick Cipriano his saxophone. The result is full of texture and warmth, with a variety of sounds forming both composed motives and improvised instrumental conversations. The lyrics tell a story about sleep, crumbling dreams, wakefulness and heightened reality.
